College of Chicago students desire school give $1 billion in reparations to South Side

A University of Chicago college student corporation is demanding that the administration fork out over $1 billion in reparations to the city’s South Aspect.

In an op-ed on Feb. 9 in The Chicago Maroon, UChicago Versus Displacement argued that the College of Chicago must pay over $1 billion in reparations to the city’s South Aspect above 20 several years, arguing that it will “protect South Siders from displacement.”

“We at UChicago Against Displacement (UCAD), way too, think that the South Aspect is owed reparations.
